Today we celebrated our Clopton Hawks Basketball team as they prepare to head to the MSHSAA Class 2 State Final Four at Mizzou!
Students and staff gathered today to celebrate the team’s incredible season and enjoyed cake to recognize their accomplishments. Tomorrow we will continue the excitement with a school Pep Rally and a community send-off as the Hawks depart for Columbia!

🏀 Clopton Hawks State Final Four Send-Off Route 🏀
Join us as we send off our Clopton Hawks Basketball Team as they head to Columbia to compete in the MSHSAA State Final Four at Mizzou!
The team charter bus will depart Clopton Schools immediately after the Pep Rally at 11 AM, and we invite our community to line the route and help give our players an unforgettable send-off!
We appreciate Clarksville and Eolia Fire Dept, as well as the Pike County Sherriff Department for providing an escort for the team!
Send-Off Route: • Depart Clopton Schools (Clarksville) • Travel west on Hwy WW • Turn left (south) onto Hwy D • Continue through Eolia and around the square • Turn north onto Hwy 61 • Take the ramp to Hwy 54 West toward Mizzou
If you live along the route or nearby, come out, wave your flags, wear your Clopton gear, and help cheer on the Hawks as they head to Columbia!
Let’s show them the full support of Hawk Nation as they represent Clopton on the biggest stage!

🏀 Clopton Hawks State Final Four – Student Tickets 🏀
We are excited to share that student tickets for the MSHSAA State Final Four at Mizzou will be provided for our Clopton Middle School and High School students thanks to the generous support of People’s Savings Bank and Community State Bank.
These tickets will allow students entry for both days of the State Finals weekend as our Hawks compete in Columbia.
Students interested in attending must sign up in the High School Office. ⏰ The sign-up deadline is the end of the school day tomorrow!
We greatly appreciate People’s Savings Bank and Community State Bank for supporting our students and helping make it possible for them to be part of these historic games for Clopton Basketball!

Great Season Lady Hawks!
Our Lady Hawks fell today 61–42 to Tipton, bringing an incredible season to a close. Finishing 28–2, District Champions 3-peat), and undefeated EMO Conference Champions, we couldn’t be more proud of this team and coaching staff!

At the MSHSAA Class 1 Girls Swimming and Diving Championships, the Louisiana/Clopton girls finished an impressive 14th overall out of 58 teams.
Both relay teams recorded their highest state finishes in school history:
• 200 Medley Relay – 12th place (MacLaughlin, Branstetter, Talbert, Griffin)
• 200 Freestyle Relay – 13th place (MacLaughlin, Branstetter, Griffin, Talbert)
Storie Talbert added strong individual performances with a 10th-place finish in the 50 Free (PR) and 13th in the 100 Free (PR).
